Lulu Abbott

My name is Lulu Abbott. I developed Road to Success an O-G approach to teaching reading and spelling, in 2008. I am Certified as an Advanced Level Tutor in the Barton Reading Spelling System. I provide a one on one tutoring service for children, youth and adults who are dyslexic, have reading challenges or learning disabilities. I am also trained in screening students to see if they meet the dyslexia profile and I provide 2 different types of reporting with recommendations and accommodations for parents to choose from.

I found the Barton Reading Spelling System when I discovered that my son had dyslexia and AD/HD. I understand the challenges and frustrations that both the student and parents go through. Before finding the Barton and Reading system, we tried color and eye therapies, all of which did not work and caused more frustration for both my son and myself. Once my son had finished level 4, he said to me, “This program helped me to be able to read and spell.” My son gained confidence, not only in reading and spelling but also in his whole being. Seeing these changes in my own son inspired me to share my knowledge and teacher others the skills and build confidence to read and spell effectively.
